INDEXO Bank plans to launch core banking services for businesses by the end of this year, with the division to be led by Edgars Kraučuks, who joins the bank’s management team from 20 April. Kraučuks brings valuable experience from both banking and business sectors, having worked at one of the largest agricultural company groups in Latvia, LATRAPS, as well as holding various client-facing roles across more than fifteen years at Nordea, Luminor, and SEB.
“INDEXO Bank began serving private individuals in August 2024, but I will consider the bank to be fully operational only on the day we open our first accounts for businesses. To ensure this happens as soon as possible and that our services genuinely meet the needs of our clients, an experienced professional has joined our team – Edgars Kraučuks, who combines long-standing banking expertise with a deep understanding of what companies need to grow,” says Valdis Siksnis, Chairman of the Management Board of AS INDEXO Banka and one of the group’s co-founders.
Kraučuks began his professional career at SEB Bank, followed by various positions at Nordea and Luminor. He later led Alfis, the authorised Baltic distributor of Liebherr industrial equipment, before joining LATRAPS, where he was responsible for the agricultural machinery business line.
“In my professional career, I have both sold and managed the sale of banking services and built bank relationships with corporate clients, as well as been in the role of a bank client. Even when leading a quite large company by Latvian standards, I felt forgotten and ignored by banks. In recent years, the relationship between businesses and banks is more reminiscent of working with government institutions than business organisations. I believe the INDEXO team has great opportunities to change that,” says Kraučuks, Head of Business Banking at INDEXO Bank.
Kraučuks holds a business administration degree from the BA School of Business and Finance and has studied business administration at Strathclyde Business School in the United Kingdom.
