In January, AS INDEXO Bank focused not only on attracting new clients and customer funds but also on increasing lending activity. Number of activities including lowering of consumer loan interest rates resulted in doubling Bank’s loan portfolio from approximately EUR 1.1 million at the end of 2023 to EUR 2.3 million by the end of January. Moving forward, AS INDEXO Bank will continue to focus on lending alongside client and client funds acquisition. In addition to consumer loans, the bank is preparing to issue its first mortgage loans in the coming months.
By the end of January, the number of bank clients reached 23.8 thousand, while the total volume of client funds grew to EUR 37.8 million. In January alone, the bank paid out EUR 84.2 thousand in deposit interest to its clients.
“At the start of the bank’s operations, our task was to actively attract clients and build a deposit base to enable active lending. We have now achieved the necessary momentum – the number of clients is growing, and we have the funds to lend. Currently, we are only issuing consumer loans, but in the coming months, we will begin offering mortgage loans and later begin serving businesses, aiming to become a significant player in the overall credit market of Latvia, which is the main strategic goal of INDEXO Bank,” says Valdis Siksnis, Chairman of the Management Board of AS INDEXO Bank.
At the end of January, the number of INDEXO pension clients increased to 142,773, and assets under management reached EUR 1.38 billion.
