The INDEXO financial services group, which includes the pension management company IPAS INDEXO, AS INDEXO Atklātais Pensiju Fonds, and AS INDEXO Banka, has received approval from the Bank of Latvia to acquire a significant stake in the pension management company VAIRO. The implementation of the transaction has been supported by the shareholders of both IPAS INDEXO and IPAS VAIRO. INDEXO plans to complete the acquisition of IPAS VAIRO in the near future.  

The transaction foresees that IPAS INDEXO will acquire 100% of VAIRO’s shares. Following the approval from the Bank of Latvia, IPAS INDEXO intends to take over the management of IPAS VAIRO’s investment plans and merge them with INDEXO’s second pillar pension investment plans. 

Until then, VAIRO’s pension investment plans will continue to operate as before, and no action is required from VAIRO clients in the context of this transaction.
